SGL Co-Packing Opts for the Flexibility of Novus VFFS

Aug 24, 2015

SGL Co-Packing Limited, based in Nelson, Lancashire, offers flexible contract packing and contract manufacturing services in the UK. SGL has been packing a wide variety of products for some of the best-known and most respected companies in the UK for more than a quarter of a century.

SGL prides itself on its reliability and flexibility to offer support for new product launches and product pack variations. For this reason, SGL decided to invest in a new packaging machine, suitable for multiple applications.

BW Flexible Systems’ Novus VFFS packaging machine was the ideal machine for SGL Co-Packing, due to its extreme versatility.

SGL has had proven success with both Sandiacre and Rose Forgrove packaging machines, having previously purchased over 10 machines, including several intermittent motion VFFS machines and Rose Forgrove Merlin flow wrappers.

“As a result of increased customer demand, we have made a major investment in new packaging equipment. We were looking for a machine, which could offer great flexibility, as well as pack at high speeds,” explains Matt Carroll, SGL Maintenance Manager.

“The Novus meets our requirements for high quality, flexibility and cost-effective operation. We have already received enquiries from existing and prospective customers.”

The SGL Novus VFFS machine is currently packing a variety of confectionery, in both pillow and doy packs. Hayssen Flexible Systems’ Novus high-speed VFFS continuous motion packaging machine boasts many benefits, including the ability to pack a variety of pack styles, from pillow pack with or without zip to quad packs for many different applications.
